Welcome
to Hummingbird Services!
Left brain, right brain. What does that mean? Painted with a very broad
brush, the left side of the brain uses logic, the right employs
feelings.
I'm still running the same company I began in 1993, serving Apple
Computer-based businesses and building websites. I've made the switch
over to Web 2.0
Content Management Systems designer, ditchiing the archaic, piecemeal
world of Web 1.0 forever, I hope! I use both left and right sides of my
brain in this field of work.
My other occupation has taken me to many amazing places,
meeting amazing people, and realizing the need for humans to have a
closeness to nature that is no longer simple to attain. I get
very passionate about connecting people, especially chlldren, to
nature. The reasons why are explained on my website
http://www.flynsqrl.ca. I employ both left and right sides of my brain in this endeavour as well.
In the "early days", up until Apple
Computer became the brand of choice for many consumers and small businesses, I serviced graphic
houses, law firms and marketing & advertising businesses. The
creative types, you could say. The
hummingbird logo was
meant to infer its traits onto my style of doing business - that being
a colourful personality, quick to respond and able to efficiently
respond to my client's computer-based needs.
Since
1999, I have devoted more and more of my time and energy to field
research and nature-connecting edutainment and in particular, the
ecology of the northern flying squirrel. I still serve my "legacy
computer clients" and will certainly take on new work based upon the
size of the job (preferring smaller projects). Smaller projects allow
me to "turn on a dime" and get the work you need done, on short notice
and quickly.
If you are an Apple Computer-based company, or need a new or
revitalized website and are looking for someone who is the "right fit"
for your needs, give me a call or shoot me an email and we can set up a
meeting.
If you would like to have a look at the other side of my brain, I invite you to click the FLYNSQRL.ca banner below:

Steve Patterson
